Looking resplendent in his Household Cavalry’s Blues and Royals uniform, Prince Harry attended the Founders Day parade at London’s Royal Hospital. The hospital is also home to Chelsea Pensioners, elder veterans who have served in the British Army. One cheeky old bloke, dressed in uniform, asked the spare, “So when are you getting married then?” Harry blushed and said, “Not for a long time. Who put you up to do that to me?!’ When the gentleman joked that he’d be shot in the morning for asking such a question, a comrade remarked, “Yes, put him on a charge Sergeant Major.” Who knows whether Harry and on/off girlfriend Chelsy Davy will ever walk down the aisle. Davy was recently spotted in Ibiza declaring her singlehood, fueling rumors that the two are off at the moment. She’s been heard in the past to say that she wants no part of a royal life.
The parade is always held on or around May 29th, the birthday of Charles II who founded the hospital in 1682, according to the Daily Mail. Harry, a Junior Captain in the Army Air Corps, toured the facilities and jokingly asked the residents, “Are you friendly with your neighbours? Do you have pillow fights in the corridors, then?” Marry me.
After giving a moving speech to army veterans ranging in age from 82-100, Harry poked fun at his older brother, Prince William. “I find it terrifying that your drill is so much better than my brother’s, but it doesn’t surprise me.”
