So basically Samsung has patented: A clock with multiple time zones in a mobile phone.
How on Earth is a patent like that supposed to promote innovation?

Apple will surely manage this, but what about the independent developer with no huge pile of cash to throw at some lawyers? THAT is the problem here.. :(

I believe this is to allow you to start your computer from a Mac OS X install disc on a remote computer. You will need to connect to your wireless network to see the available discs.
I think this feature was more useful for original MacBook Air and/or for installing Snow Leopard. Since the new MBAs come with a USB drive, and Lion is expected (or at least rumored) to be distributed as an App Store download, you probably won't need to use it at all.

Got the whole pack. Be aware that only a few of them are the actual arcade version. I am a Battlezone fan myself and it plays pretty well even with the controls.

As a Graphic Designer, when the iPad was announced, this was the first thing I wanted to see. But after experiencing the iPad for over a year, along with a desktop, I don't think this way of working with Photoshop will prove to be beneficial. Lightroom, probably more so.
Just keep it as a Photoshop Express and push the photo adjustment features. Messing with layers, blending modes and brushes I think should remain as features for a desktop for designing.
Lastly, this demo reminds me of JuxtaPoser, a quick two layer masking app.

Not necessarily. ACT UP was a very aggressive group in the 80's that used that motto to bring attention to the AIDS crisis. I didn't like them or their tactics much at all at the time either. But you know what? It worked. They definitely served their purpose and are responsible for bringing serious attention to HIV/AIDS. Because you know what? Standing up to bullies like social conservatives works.
What doesn't work is letting them walk all over you, like they've been doing for decades. I'm talking about people who, no matter what you do, will NEVER respect you unless you stand up to them. Sometimes, violence is the answer. I'm sorry, but that's just a sad truth. It should always be the last resort, but it is the only answer sometimes. If people like this think you'll never fight back, you'll always lose. Because you know why? They think we're evil. They think we're the enemy. They've dehumanized us to such an extent that they think it's OK to beat the crap out of us, take our rights and even try to take our children. Would you sit still for that? I've been a very satisfied customer of .Mac since its inception. I receive zero spam e-mails and I am delighted with the ability to create aliases. On top of that there is no advertising at all. I also have a couple of other web-mail accounts and they get zillions of spam messages even with their respective anti-spam filters turned on. I think that this update adds a little bit more polish on an already decent offering. I do agree with a previous poster that the iCal integration needs some work.

I have 2 to 3 email addresses forwarded to my .mac account (those 2 to 3 do receive spam) but i still get very little in my Mail.app or webmail. good point, because if anyone has ever used hotmail, that crap gets annoying fast.

I just downloaded a photo from ipadwallgallery.com using my iPad2. I wanted to use it as my wallpaper. So I give up; where did it download to? I went to photos and it isn't there. Sorry for what is probably a simple question but I am stumped.

If you walk into an Apple store next Tuesday or Wednesday, do they usually have phones available after a lunch and if so, are the lines more manageable or is it a challenge to get a phone for a long time?
I am trying to decide if I should go ahead and pre-order one for 7/14 to be delivered to my house or if I could pick one up next week without quite so much insanity as Thursday is sure to offer :)

Given the terrific success of the pads & phones, this attack on Samsung by Apple is quite out of place.
Any resemblance between a Galaxy and iPhone is to Apples advantage anyway. Yet that said, Jobs has always been highly paranoid.

Actually no, it doesn't. It asks you if you've ever had sexual contact with another male (at least in Colorado and NY, the two places I've given). I've never seen anything in the process that would preclude a gay virgin.
