Christina Aguilera Tweets First Photo From “Moves Like Jagger” Set

Mick Jagger may hail from merry old England, but in this photo from the set of Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera’s “Moves Like Jagger” video, it looks like the Voice judges have opted to take a more stateside approach. Okay, he didn’t get the location right, but at least director Jonas Akerlund nailed the time period. Still, one big detail is missing: Where’s Mick??!?


The legendary rocker is reportedly set to make a cameo in the video, but was nowhere to be found in this pic Aguilera tweeted on Saturday (July 9). In it, the singer is posed seductively in a floppy hat and tall boots, in front of an American flag and what looks like retro-styled backup dancers. Yes, we’re talking about that girl in the white high-waisted goucho pants and John Lennon shades. That’s a look verrrry specific to the Rolling Stones’ 1970s heyday.

After the shoot wrapped, Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine tweeted that the video will be “outrageous and amazing.” So, just like the song, then. “Moves Like Jagger” certainly doesn’t feel retro at all, featuring a throbbing club beat, one of Maroon 5’s trademark jangling guitar jams and, of course, Xtina’s golden pipes.
